This interdisciplinary PhD project (Sociology with Philosophy) uses the scientific response to COVID-19 in the UK as a site for analysing the political mediations of scientific knowledge, with a particular focus on the ways and extent to which politics became embedded in the knowledge claims made by the UK scientific advisory community between 2020 and 2022.
