Description:
James F. Anderson obtained his BA (Hons.) degree from Amsterdam University College in 2015, and completed his Research Master’s in Cultural Analysis at the University of Amsterdam in 2017. His rMA thesis addressed interactions between (colonial) memory, global capitalism, immaterial labour, and their ramifications for possible forms of critique and resistance. His PhD research extends his academic focus towards subversive aesthetics in vernacular art forms, as embodied in the ‘radical’ mediums of punk and pornography.
