In 2019, PhD student Ben Rigby completed a three-month internship with Public Health England’s Behavioural Insights Team, as part of the UKRI Policy Internship Scheme. Public Health England’s Behavioural Insights Team (PHEBI) was set up to explore how behavioural science can improve the design, delivery and evaluation of public health practice. During the internship Ben played a key role in a systematic review of digital interventions to promote behaviour change around smoking, alcohol, diet, and physical activity.
