How 2 Evaluate Impact – with Dr Sabina Strachan of how2glu
About this Event
This workshop is a follow on session from ‘how2 build impact’. This workshop will
reinforce your learning from ‘how2build impact’ on the principles of planning for impact
and focus on glucardTM building block 6: the steps for monitoring, refining and
implementing your plan.
We will use real examples and processes that are accessible, visual and hands on and
make time for Q&A. The workshop will focus on how to create an evaluation framework
for your research, what kinds of qualitative and quantitative data will help indicate or
prove that your research is delivering / will deliver impact, and what methods you can use
throughout your PhD to gather relevant data.
The workshop will help you identify proportionate and manageable evaluation and show
you that, when planned alongside a PhD or project, evaluation also enables you to
continually improve your research strategy, adapt your approach to enable greater
impacts, and help develop sought-after transferable skills.
You will also have the opportunity to actively review and refine your ‘glucardTM building blocks plan’.
Sabina will graphically illustrate concepts and demonstrate tools by sharing live
visualisations.
Tickets will be released to DTP students approximately 2 months before the event; and remaining tickets will be offered to non-DTP students around one month before the event.
