  • My research explores the social determinants of precarious and informal housing in a variety of settings. I work with social theory and ethnography in the scholarly tradition of sociologists such as Wacquant, Burawoy and Willis.

Prior to my PHD I worked in a variety of organisations in the western Balkans, especially in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I retain strong interests in the CEE region particularly in contemporary Sarajevo. I have also lived and worked in Belgium.

I have an MPhil from the University of Cambridge. I was also awarded an IMESS scholarship at University College London for the master’s in economy, state and society (with reference to Eastern, Central Europe and Russia) at the UCL School of Slavonic and Eastern European studies[/cs_text]
