AIMS/OBJECTIVES OF COURSE
Learn how to use systematic review techniques in research
DESCRIPTION OF COURSE
Using rigorous methods to produce a comprehensive, unbiased synthesis of relevant research, the quality of systematic review depends on which methods are followed to minimise risk of error and bias during the process. Rigorous methods distinguish systematic reviews from traditional reviews. Professor Sharon Hamilton gives an overview of the types of systematic reviews, the sorts of questions they can address, and focus on scoping reviews and qualitative reviews. An interactive session, there will be opportunities to use quality assessment tools and do data extraction. No prior experience of systematic reviewing is necessary.
