An Inside View of Engaging with Policy Makers

This session will be delivered by Andy Sawford who is a former MP, former member of a Select Committee and is a Durham Alumni. The session will help you to understand and engage with Parliament, parliamentarians and other key stakeholders. It will cover being proactive about raising awareness with your research and other activity, as well as being reactive to events such as select committee inquiries and government consultations. There will be some practical tips, such as ways to get mentions in Parliament. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and lunch will be provided.
