Becca Patterson: “‘Blessed’ yet bereft: a qualitative exploration of the experience of family members of heart, liver and/or lung recipients throughout the transplantation process”

In Former students by jvnf65

I am in the final year of my PhD and currently writing up my thesis. My work predominantly explores the impact of the transplantation process upon the lifestyle, wellbeing, relationships (personal and social), and identity of family members. Findings have been drawn from narrative-style interviews with twenty-four family members of individuals awaiting or living with a heart, liver, and/or lung transplant in the UK. I have presented preliminary findings on a local, national, and international level, to both academic and clinical audiences.
